Bike shed for us

Posted by Yami on Nov 26, 2009 in Product Review

I’ve told my online friend about my interest to go jogging with her one weekend. This is in connection with my ultimate goal to lose weight and be fit for my health. I have not started any program on dieting yet not even watching what I eat (sigh). Hence, I need an activity (aside from household chores) where I can burn calorie(s) to the hilt. ^^ How about biking? Hubby has been telling me to try biking. Why not? The only problem we have at the moment is that our bike, actually its hubby’s is too tall for me. I want a bike that is fit for me (or my weight) that can be used by my kids later. If we are going to have another bike we will need a bike shed to be placed just outside our house. Bike storage sheds are necessary to protect the motorbike from constant exposure to sun and rain. I’ve seen one that fits our need for bike sheds at asgardsss.co.uk. They have useful step by step instructions on how to assemble the metal shed.

A second course in MRI technology

Posted by Yami on Nov 25, 2009 in Product Review

Two of my former colleagues who studied nursing as their second course are now licensed nurses. They have plans to work abroad and are now training in local hospitals to gain experience. One of them is persuading me to study and even offer her textbooks for free. But I told her that instead of a nursing career, I’m intending to pursue MRI technology program (if time and budget will permit it). MRI is one the several core programs being offered at medacademy.org including vocational nursing, psychiatric technician, ultrasound technology and radiologic technology. Faculty members teaching these courses are active medical professionals from Europe, Asia, North America and South America to ensure that students will get the best possible education in medicine.

My daughter wants to blog

Posted by Yami on Nov 22, 2009 in Product Review

My daughter is keeping a daily journal and lately she’s showing interest in having her own blog like mine. She expresses herself well through writing (unlike mommy…sigh) and it excites her when we are discussing the possibility of designing her own site. She has an eye for layout design at a young age. She also wants to maintain a site where she can post all her recent drawings. There is a new free blog hosting service for beginner called Nakutaku. The homepage is so design to allow young bloggers to roam and check on important details in starting out a blog. You just have to sign up for free to get your free blog powered by wordpress and you are ready to begin your journey to the blogosphere. Just remember to make a creative name for your blog for easy recall. I tried signing up for my daughter and in just seconds I created Naomi’s Lair. She’s about ready to fill her site’s pages with her creative thoughts.

Compression stockings for my aching feet

Posted by Yami on Nov 21, 2009 in Product Review

I feel really tired when we got back from watching New Moon tonight. The short distance from the cinema to the cab station gave me a hard time walking it’s as if I walk a mile. My legs are killing me. No amount of massage or elevate that I do to my feet; they still hurt so badly and feel heavy when I walk. I read an article that says compression socks can relax tired and aching legs. I wish I have a pair to use right now. A college friend who is suffering from diabetes has been using a pair of jobst socks to work. She said it gives her comfort after a day’s work. I found that Jobst is the number one physician recommended brand in compression stockings because they provide comfort to tired feet and address serious leg problems like swelling and venous disease. The sock or stocking can be worn by both men and women in office, those engage in sports activity, and diabetic like what my friend is using. Discountsurgical.com is offering Jobst sock as well as brands from Sigvaris, Juzo and Medi at 75 to 80 percent discount. Women can choose from knee-high, thigh-high and pantyhose compression. They are available in two colors, skin tone and elegant black.

Posted by Yami on Nov 19, 2009 in Product Review
2009dirtdevilguide_250x250

This is a Sponsored Post written by me on behalf of Dirt Devil. All opinions are 100% mine.

When I shop for our weekly grocery I try to avoid buying on impulse and stick to my grocery list. The same thing with my Christmas list, I only designate practical items for each recipient. Holiday Deals Dirt Devil.com is a big help for me these days because it saves me time (for unplanned shopping hours) and my hard-earned money. The site caters to over 300 websites that offer the best deal on promotional products through its Red Hot Online Shopping Shortcuts. The Black Friday and Cyber Monday Websites, for example, provide the place for hard to find items in regular department store. What’s best about the site is that they give your promo codes that you can use to buy your gifts for him, for her and for the family’s favorites. You only need to learn how to find those codes. By using the promo codes I will have extra money to buy Christmas furnishings and food for our little family gathering on Christmas and New Year’s Eve. The Holiday guide will also lead you to hundreds of websites that offer free shipping. Imagine you get the promo item and you can have the products delivered free of charge on Christmas Day itself.
