As hot as Arizona

One of my office mate friends is planning to relocate in the U.S. to join her family in New Jersey. She was asking me if I knew a place in the US where the weather or the climate resembles the Philippines. The first state that came to mind is Arizona. I read somewhere that our tropical climate is somewhat similar to Arizona. If that’s the case I want to settle down there in the future. As for the hot or humid season I can address that by putting ornamental plants inside my future home. And to make my front yard presentable I might look for a landscape design in Scottsdale AZ.

Wasting time on waste

IN my list of environment conservation advocates, I thought of ecological artist and writer Odette Alcantara, the convenor of Artists for the Environment and founding member of Earth Philippines, a non-government organization; and the ecological waste management project Zero Kalat para sa Kaunlaran Foundation (ZKK) in Malabon as prime movers.

Plus, an ‘outrageous’ recipe booklet that would make you gaga over banana peeling.
