The beauty of simplicity

I think my daughter is growing up to be like me in some ways. She exudes simplicity in the way she dresses up. Unlike the regular teenage girls, my young lady does not easily get conscious of how she looks. She wears anything simple such as shirt and jeans when we go out. She wants her hair tied back when she goes to school everyday and she’s not fond of applying face powder either so you can’t find any “kikay” or vanity kit in her school bag. While I don’t see anything wrong with that, in fact I’m glad that she is not inclined to wear make-up anytime soon. But, sometimes I wish my daughter would take care of her skin well. She is prone to pimples and she has the tendency to prick them with bare hands. No matter how many times I remind her, she tends to forget my advice not to touch or prick her pimples. She is also prone to develop blackheads. Do you know how to get rid of blackheads? I heard there are remedies that can easily be prepared at home. I just don’t have the time to do research about it. For the meantime, what my daughter needs to keep more pimples from coming out is to follow simple steps to cleanse her face. I bought her a facial wash fit for her age. She just have to use it regularly. I always tell her that being simple doesn’t mean being negligent of one’s personal hygiene. She wouldn’t regret taking care of her skin while she’s young.
