Fresh from Macau

My sister arrived from Macau last week. Her official vacation is scheduled on April 15, but had to take it ahead of time because our mother had a mild stroke. She will stay here for eleven days to take care of our mother and bond with her four kids. Since she is on emergency leave she wasn’t able to bring anything except a few pieces of her clothes and a bag-full of chocolates. 🙂

I hope we’ll have more time to catch up. She’s been away for nearly a year now. Before she leaves for Macau, I will also show her the picture of Cole Haan shoes that I’m requesting her to buy for my daughter. It’s better if I will give her the size of Naomi’s feet so it will be easier for her to find her exact size. My daughter needs a new pair of black leather shoes this coming school year. The design may be simple but it looks good on her feet. It appears comfortable to wear even on a daily basis. I’m thinking of buying a pair of Cole Haan flat shoes for myself. I hope to receive more assignments this month so I will have enough budget to buy the shoes that we want. 🙂

Mom suffered a mild stroke

I received the terrible news at 2pm yesterday. People who have taken my mother to the nearest clinic thought she’s suffering from stroke because her mouth twitched slightly and had difficulty talking.  The hot weather might have caused my mom’s blood pressure to shoot up. She was under observation for a few hours at the emergency room of the East Avenue Medical Center, where she was later released upon doctor’s advice. She is resting at home now. I’m thankful to those who brought my mother to the hospital. Nanay’s younger siblings were also there to comfort her.

I wasn’t able to rush to her side yesterday as I was the one who was looking after my nieces and nephews in our house yesterday. I will visit her today and be backto finish a couple of assignments. My sister will arrive on Thursday and will stay for eleven days to take care of our mother.

Friends, I’m requesting you to include my family especially my mother in your prayers. We love our mother so much and we cannot afford to lose her at this point in our lives. Thank you…God Bless!

She wants an ipod for her birthday

My daughter requests for an Ipod Nano for her birthday. Since she has been a good daughter and a diligent student, there is possibility that her wish will be granted. So Daddy is starting to look for pre-owned ipods at eBay or tipidpc. We bought our laptop and digital camera from online seller so we are hoping to get similar bargain for ipod this time. My daughter is excited when she learned about it. We told her that it would be our birthday gift and advanced reward to her in case she will be included in the lists of Achievers next month.

Our baby is turning 13 tomorrow. I think I’m going to cry (sniff). Happy birthday, baby.
