The last time hubby look after our kids was when I left for Leyte for a pre-election coverage in 2006. I left the house early in the morning to catch a flight to Tacloban City. I make a lot of reminders to hubby not to forget to remind the nanny to prepare everything the kids need for school, breakfast, vitamins and snacks. In the afternoon or just before hubby left for work, I would still remind him to check on the kids when they arrived from school. At night, we would also talk about the kids and ourselves like how our days went. I appear to be makulit or persistent here, but actually my husband knows what to do without enumerating all of it to him. Even now that we don’t have a househelp, I’m confident that he can take care of our kids and run the house with ease while I’m out to run errands. Hubby can cook a little, but do the laundry and ironing so well. He also maintains the house spick and span. With all his qualifications, don’t you think hubby can make a good stay at home dad? 🙂

It’s my hair
I used to have a long smooth hair and I think it’s one of the assets that attracted my then boyfriend, now husband to me. However, when I asked hubby about the things that he liked most about me then, he would always say it’s my simplicity.
Taken sometime in 1991 or 92 at the Central Police District Press Office, where I was assigned as a correspondent. (It doesn’t look like a mug shot, does it? 😀 )
Here’s one of my old photos where I have a long permed hair. Notice that I don’t have any make up on…so simple…so innocent… 😀

Did I end up with Mr. Right?
I think I am! He is the same reserved but funny guy that I met from day one. He is not the mushy type but he knows how to make me feel special. He cares without you knowing it. No dull moments with him because he talks with sense and never a show off. He is responsible in every aspect of our married life. In times when I feel like giving up on a certain problem, he reassures that everything will be fine. He is a shoulder to cry on and understands my shortcomings….I could go on telling more good things about him…but for now it’s enough that he knows that I made the right and smart decision of marrying him 14 years ago.
