House repair

Hubby and I have already commissioned someone to repair our ceiling in the living room, dining and kitchen area. We also plan to install a galvanized gate this month. The only reason that impedes these plansÂ from happening is the lack of budget. Until now we are still waiting for our “lady boss” to hand usÂ our payment for the translation job. She said we have to wait until Oct. 15 to transmit the payment from the head office.

We are also planning to paint the interior of the house and maybe purchase wood venetian blinds for our bedroom. The old venetian blinds has several missing slats and sometimes I worry that we are not safe from peeping toms lurking nearby.

The house repairman has left for La Union last Sunday to visit his family in the province and maybe look for another job there. The poor guy has been waiting for the project to start two weeks ago. Before he left he gave me his contact number so we could immediately call him when we have the materials ready.

I’m not familiar with this flower (again) or its plant but it used to beautify the front of our house.

We still have the plants – there are at least two varieties, but they never reward us with the same beautiful flowers like before.

That cushiony feeling

My sister used to own a yellow sofa in her previous house. I love that couch. It’s actually my favorite piece of furniture in her house. I laze around on the sofa while my sister and I were busy chatting. My sister had to give up the furniture when she and her ex-boyfriend separated. Oh how I miss the cushiony feeling when I sat down on that sofa. I wish I could see a similar couch when I check on modern sofas tonight.

I think Iâ€™ve written my love for our own sofa in my previous posts. Our sofa keeps me company in the wee hours of the night while doing some online stuff. So if anyone would remember to give me something for Christmas, I will never say no to a new couch or a sofa bed perhaps. 😀
