Big Blogging Events in April

Two highly anticipated blogging events will take place this year.

First, the iBlog7: The 7th Philippine Blogging Summit will be held on April 1 and 2, that is from 8 a.m to 5 p.m. at Malcolm Theater, Malcolm Hall, UP College of Law, UP Diliman, Quezon City.

Second, Pinay Mommy Bloggers Grand Eyeball scheduled on April 3, from 1 p.m. to 4 p.m. in Makati City. Hopefully, majority of PMB members will be able to make it to the grand EB. This is going to be a lot of fun.

Both events will certainly provide a lot of new insights for new and old time bloggers. It’s my first time to attend such big events for bloggers and I hope I won’t miss the highlight. I wish I have a camcorder to record the speakers’ output and then watch it using a home dlp projector at the comfort of my home. But without camcorder or voice recorder, I think I’m better off using a pen and paper.

Wishing and hoping

I’m still praying to have another translation project this year. But I don’t hear any news from our project manager since I received my payment for the last translation job I did for her last year. I’m also expecting to be paid P2,500 or over a little $55 from a separate project from her. It’s not a big amount though, but it will surely help augment our dwindling budget at the moment. With the skyrocket prices of basic commodities, every peso and us coins count these days.

I want to win the cash prize because I’m saving up for my children’s school tuition for the next school year. Maybe some of you are aware that my husband is no longer receiving his regular salary from his job. In fact, he only got 50 percent of the government mandated 13th month pay. In short, we are depending on salary trickles since late last year. I’m thankful for the blessings including my blog earnings (although not that big) that help me pay some of our monthly bills. If I win, the amount will definitely go to the fund I’m raising for my kids’ tuition.
