Homemaking in a Fabulous Way

Staying at home to care for your little ones and be a full time housewife need not take its toll on your once stalwart and impeccable fashion sense. It need not take its toll on your not-too-frequent indulgence or your make you look older than your actual age. I know for sure that mountain of laundry and loads of other home chores can take the better of you. Keeping the home spic and span can be way too tiring and don’t even let me go to child-minding, which is actually a 24/7 job that eats most bulk of your time.

Fret not as you can still be as glamorous and fabulous like you used to. Get some me-time over the weekends and treat yourself to a relaxing manicure-pedicure treatment. Get a new haircut or don a sexy wig, if you want to be more adventurous. Go to a thrift shop to get some new dresses and blouses to update your wardrobe.

Who says you need to be ugly while staying at home. I bet the little ones will appreciate having a mommy diva keeping watch over them all the time.

Preparing your Home for the Holidays

When Christmas season comes we not only think of getting presents for our loved ones but we also think of creative and colorful ways to make our homes radiate the feeling and ambiance of Christmas. We put up our Christmas tree as early as our hectic schedules allow for starters and fill it with lovely and bright Christmas trimmings. Apart from adding Christmas lights, we also put a number of presents wrapped, not only with colorful wrappers, but also with love and the warmest of thoughts, and under our tree.

And if that is not enough, we also put other Christmas decorations and ornaments like wreaths, lanterns, angels and Santa Claus display in different parts of our home. We also burn scented candles so the house would even smell like Christmas (which is also a very effective way of getting rid of unnecessary kitchen odor in the air). If we can afford it, am sure we will all get snow machines as well.

Why I love a small (micro) house

I’ve seen a lot of pictures of small houses (like the one above) on the Internet and I must say I am impressed by the detailed designs of each structure. Each house has a small floor area yet the builder was able to put in all the details and features of an average house. Designers were able to fit in a sofa, kitchen cum dining area, bathroom, and bedroom in such a small space. I wouldn’t be surprised if architects would be able to add in an entertainment area with television and complete sound system with evh amps at Musicians Friend. It’s a dream house for me. If I have the opportunity to design my own home, I would prefer to have this size because it’s easy to manage. Just the right house for me. 🙂
