Bad case of cold

I’m not feeling well since yesterday. I have runny nose, weepy eyes and occasional sneezing. I’m afraid I might transfer the virus to my kids who will have their monthly test on Thursday and Friday. They can’t afford to miss school so I need to exercise extra care so they wouldn’t catch a cold. I have taken a cold medicine and supposed to be resting early, but here I am still banging on my poor keyboard so I could meet my work deadline. Anyway, since I’m under the weather, my reliable hubby is always there to the rescue. He doesn’t need testosterone booster to wash our clothes and iron our kids’ uniform this evening. My ever understanding husband even washed the plates and utensils after dinner. Even when I’m not sick, hubby is always there to help around the house. I’m such a lucky wife. 🙂 Achoo!

Easier said than done

I’m amazed at the willpower of some women who can follow the best weight loss plan without starving themselves. I personally know active moms who triumph over obesity by observing certain dieting technique.

For me losing weight is a lot easier said than done. I’ve tried dieting on banana and oatmeal for two weeks and I can say I’ve shed a pound or two. I didn’t continue though because there were occasions when I couldn’t resist eating carbohydrate-laden food. I’m a rice person so I’m back to my old ways of binging on rice and my favorite viand.

MIL is sick

My brother-in-law got a call from his sister this afternoon informing him that their mother is ill.  My MIL is in her 70s and has been in sick bed for a couple months now. Hubby and another brother haven’t seen their ma for a long time. Hubby and I were just discussing about his parents the other day and then this news…we hope Nanay will recover soon…we hope to see you soon.
