Based on the latest announcement from the Department of Education, the school year 2016-2017 will begin on June 13, and will end on April 7.

This school year consists of 202 school days. Private schools may deviate from the calendar; however, they may not start classes earlier than the first Monday of June, and not later than the last day of August.
