Remove middlemen

The new government of President Aquino could learn something from this.

Since weeding out corruption is the order of the day for P. Noy maybe he should begin with getting rid of middlemen in terms of purchases for the government such as medical and surgical equipment for government-operated or state-run hospitals and firearms magazines and grenade launchers for military use. Without middlemen, the government can reduce cost and ensure the highest level of quality of the products without overspending and eliminating paper work.

It’s a common knowledge that corruption begins in the purchases of machines or supplies needed by a certain department. Unscrupulous employees would grant the winning bid to businessmen or corporations at the expense of the government. It’s about time P. Noy should do something about it for a “corruption-less” country.
