Green Living Monday: Lucky Bamboo

The kids and I bought this “lucky bamboo” at SM Fairview last December. It was our Christmas gift to Daddy. He was supposed to bring it to the office, but decided to just leave it at home.

Green indoor plants give calming or soothing effect. They also improve the air we breathe at home and the workplace as they absorb harmful gases present in the air.

My first entry for Green Living Monday.

Jack of all trade

Hubby recycles part of a magazine rack to a curtain hanger. I’m proud of every little things he does at home. He is not only good at fixing and creating stuff, he is also good at laundry and cleaning. He’s like a colonetix personified that gets rid of unwanted waste material inside the body. 😀 He’s not an OC though, he only tries to do his share of household chores whenever he can especially when I’m busy with online tasks.

CURTAIN3

Hubby’s curtain hanger is made from scrap metal, actually its part of an old magazine stand which he got from somewhere.

CURTAIN-HANGER

This is how it looks now with an old curtain hanging inside our bedroom.

Getting rid of clutters

STACK-OF-PAPER

We are getting rid of stack of used papers and back issues of newspapers at home. It’s like weeding out grass and invasive plants in some portions of our house. You can’t imagine how bad the clutter looks, thank God no one smoke a cigar or young kids who play with matches here because the paper easily catches fire. But no worries, in a few days someone will collect these papers for recycling. I may also dispose some old notebooks and schoolbooks to create space for the new books and school supplies when school opens in June.
