Work resolution 2012

I’ve made a simple work resolution this year to improve time management. Here’s my concise list and I’m working on it slowly but surely.

Manage time properly. Try to balance my online and offline (real-life as friends call it) schedule while I can (so hubby will not be burdened with all the chores around the house).
Avoid procrastination. Complete my task on time and not cram at the last minute. (I’m good at delaying certain task and truly hate the outcome.
On the right track. Start the day right with a smile and positive attitude and everything will surely fall in their right places.
Self control. Minimize online activities like blogging, opening up Facebook and other social media in between doing household chores.
Sleep early. I can’t work and think right if I don’t get enough sleep. So, I need to manage my sleeping schedule. I’d also squeeze in time for exercise, might check on some zafu accessories to get me started.

I’d like to see some improvement on my work schedule this year, so I’m sticking on this list whatever it takes. 🙂

Building Yourself A Home

Building a home for you and your family does not come cheap these days. With the rising price in construction materials and all the related expenses you need to pay for, you need to make sure you have got a hefty amount of money stashed in your bank account or somewhere safe just to be sure you can fund your construction all the way through. If you would like to go the easier way, however, you can just drop by one of those open-houses in one of the villages in your area and inquire about their available homes that would fit you and your family’s need and budget perfectly. Whichever way you chose to secure a home for your family or whichever type of home you decide to build or purchase, may that be a metal building or one made from concrete or wood, know that having your own house is one of the best investment you can purchase. So it is best to save now so you can buy or build that dream house soon enough.

Bring on the Summer

A few more weeks and we are ushering the Summer of 2012, in my part of the world, that is. I know for a fact that some of the places in other parts of the world are just experiencing snow and are probably taking refuge in their heated mattress pads during the cold nights. Snow is fun and all, but something I cannot really stand on a long-term and regular basis. It is enough that I experience it in one theme-park visit and that is it. I would still prefer the hot summer days over it any given time, when I can decorate my house in lovely cool shades of greens and yellows and spend my afternoons making lemonades with the kids. The fair weather will also be perfect for a swim in the pool or a family’s day out or a weekend vacation in a beach somewhere.
