I want them to experience what other kids have experienced while visiting the famous theme park. It’s every kid’s dream to see Mickey and Minnie Mouse and other popular Disney characters in person. I have dreamed of meeting them too when I was very young.

There are a lot of places to see in Orlando. Maybe we can hire the services of a tourist guide so we’ll save time and energy in searching for worthwhile places to visit. The tourist guide will most probably lead us to Disney World hotels where we can rest and stay for the duration of our unforgettable trip. It may take years before I could save the amount to spend for our dream Disneyland trip, but I’m hopeful.

Our niece is still single and the decision to buy a car is a wise decision she made for herself. It’s a good investment since she loves to travel. Maybe she can add a thule roof rack to accessorize her new car. Roof racks hold luggage above the seat or on top of a car.

One of the attractions inside Ocean Adventure in Subic is this shop run by the Wildlife In Need Center where paintings made by sea lions and other souvenirs are displayed and sold to visitors and tourists. My son enjoyed the whole adventure including the shows presented by talented animals and their trainers. We would love to go back if ever we get the chance.

A poster inside the shop reads:

Pinniped (seals and sea lions) Painters

This beautiful works of art were made by talented sea lion artist! Bring color to your home with one-of-a-kind painting and help animals in need at the same time!

Each painting costs P300. Proceeds go to Wildlife in Need Foundation

Hubby got his motorbike three years ago as company’s payment for his unpaid vacation leaves. I was hesitant to have that motorbike at home because I don’t want hubby to drive it to work. You know how unsafe our public roads for motorbike drivers especially at night. He passes Commonwealth Avenue everyday. And you know that Commonwealth Avenue is accident prone especially for motorbike riders.

For a while, I allow hubby to drive the vehicle. But on his own, he decided not to bring the motorbike anymore because he thoughtit’s more convenient to ride a bus or Fx on his way home. Imagine he can sleep or relax listening to his mp3 while travelling. We useour motorbike these days as our service in going to the market and run errands. Just last summer, we used it to visit La Mesa Eco Park to save for transportation fare. Our motorbike has been a great help to us, but we haven’t applied for any insurance especially auto insurance for it.

Travel wouldn’t be exciting without a handy camera or a camcorder to capture moments with your family and friends and places you’ve been to. During our field trip to Subic last February I was able to take some pictures of people, events and places there. I could have taken more but I’m afraid the camera would drain the batteries before the tour ends.

I’m happy with the pictures although they are not as crisp as professional photographers would have taken them. Anyway, the whole trip was fun and educational for the students. We are looking forward to similar trips in the future and I hope my daughter and husband will join us next time. Expect more pictures then and hopefully clearer and longer videos. Till next!

One of the many plans that I have is to travel with my family for a vacation. We haven’t experienced spending a day or two outside Metro Manila. It has always been our dream to have a vacation somewhere in Tagaytay or Baguio. But the only thing that hinder us from doing so is that we don’t have a car and hubby is not sold on the idea of long-distance commuting. He said its convenient to travel long distance if we have our own car to use. My husband used to worry about our kids’ safety when we travel by bus or even taxi when they were babies. We also experienced the hassle of commuting while carrying bags full of baby stuff such as bottles, nappies and similar items (I’m just glad those years were over).

Our kids are bigger now and can tolerate long distance travel so maybe a vacation is in the offing (fingers crossed). I just wish we have an rv motorhomes to take us to our dream destination.

It’s all systems go for The North Face 100, the Asia’s 1st Trail Running Ultra Marathon series in Baguio-Benguet this weekend.

The two-day event (April 24 – 25) will put to the test the endurance of elite athletes, mountain climbers, outdoor buff and those who simply love an active lifestyle who will conquer the difficult paths, knife ridges and the treacherous mountain trails of the country’s summer capital.

The exciting event will surely be a crowd drawer as participants will vie for the 11K, 22K, 50K or 100K solo races. It will be the longest and most thrilling test of the athletes’ staying power as they pass through the unexplored path of Camp John Hay, the PMA grounds, Mt. Sto.Tomas and Tuba with a fitting finish in the iconic Burnham Park.

I think one of our friends Marce Fedhz (this I have to verify with Marce Pehpot) and her partner will join the tnf 100 on Sunday. We may not be there to root for the couple, but we’ll (the Marces and their other friends) be praying for their triumph. Break a leg Fedhz and Mike! Cash prizes and medals await the lucky winners. I wish Fedhz and Mike will bring home the bacon.
