CC: Old Habits

There are really bad habits that I wish I can get rid of or at least lessen this new year. I don’t want to call it New Year’s Resolution as I have the tendency to break my own rule or goal I set for myself. So what are these “bad” habits I’m talking about?

a. my tendency to yell when irritated at certain (if not all) situations.

b. I turn on the computer and check my email, assignment dashboard, etc., before I prepare breakfast especially during weekends.

c. hubby helps me in the laundry. basically, my part is to gather all the clean clothes in the clothesline and fold them and place them in their respective cabinets. but the folding took almost always a lifetime to finish. lol!

d. when I’m busy with online work, I tend to become passive that I (unintentionally) neglect the kids and hubby’s needs and some concerns at home.

e. i also have a bad habit of procrastinating.

So there, I wish to address these “bad” habits this year and stay and think positive as long as I can. 😀

Forgotten Gems

My daughter and I started our traditional house cleaning before the New Year. We started from the bedroom and finished, well, on the same bedroom. We haven’t accomplished much because I have to do something else. Before I picked up the trash from the  floor, I notice my old jewelry box in a corner and found this silver earring much like discolored tanzanite jewelry. I wipe it a little and the opaque blue-green mineral showed. It was my favorite turquoise horse shoe earring. I used to pair it with a turquoise ring. These are part of the remaining pieces of silver jewelry I own that I can give to my daughter if she likes them.

I’m thankful for…

the job opportunity that came our way this year;

for the health of my family (no one gets hospitalized or stricken with some ailment this year, thank God);

for my husband’s stable job (he will be retiring in five years time – i’ll pray harder for a miracle so the company will pay this hardworking man in full;

for my kids who are talented and smart enough to make us proud;

for my dear online and offline friends (for their inspiration and assistance, continue to bless all of them);

for my mom and sister’s love and support;

…and for being a wife, mother, sister and friend that I am right now…

THANKFUL

Lord, thank you for the blessings…amen!
