Chocolate berries in stylish gift boxes

Hubby and I used to receive big baskets of groceries including corporate chocolate gift from my previous company (PJI). Aside from that, we also get gift certificates (GCs) from different advertisers. Instead of cash, advertisers pay PJI with GCs for the advertisement published in three newspapers such as People’s Journal, People’s Tonight, People’s Taliba and Women’s Journal. The management used these GCs as gift or as payment for delayed allowances of employees.

GCs and chocolate gifts are good, but the employees need cash, especially their 13th month pay.

There are only a few days remaining in 2010 and I still have pending assignments to finish including htc desire reviews – it’s about reviews and commentaries on the latest model of gadgets like cellphones in the market.

Despite the workload, I’m entertaining positive thoughts to attract positive things to happen to me, my family, and friends. As for work, my lady boss, the one who gave our biggest project this year, is anticipating another project in 2011. I will be praying for that one to happen soon.

As for everyone including my dear friends in the blogging world, I wish you all a blessed, peaceful and prosperous New Year!!

I hope hubby would ask me the same question one of these days and I would readily say I want a Netbook and if not much to ask an SLR or DSLR camera. They can be as expensive as a pair of diamond stud earrings. But I’m not fond of jewelry although sometimes I wish I have a pair of earrings as stunning as this one.

I want a Netbook because it’s lightweight and I can bring it anywhere. I also want a new camera so I can have professional looking photos for my blog posts.

Hubby and I saw this Christmas tree standing near the corner of the emergency room of FEU Hospital. We were waiting for hubby’s name to be called by the ER staff for his ECG test when we noticed this Christmas tree adorned with masquerade masks.

It’s the beginning of the “ber” months already and you know what it means to everyone in the Philippines. It’s Christmas season! September is actually the start of the preparation for the longest Christmas celebration in this side of the planet.

Just this morning I heard a Christmas song played on the radio and later saw a TV show featuring shops that sell Christmas ornaments and decors and photo Christmas cards. Some may already feel the Christmas rush, but not me. I know what the occasion means and I don’t want to get affected. Ha ha.

I have stopped doing my Christmas list for my godchildren since I quit my job. Sadly, I don’t have any means to buy gifts for them. If only I could make do-it-yourself toys to give them away, but my godchildren are young adults now. Most of them I have not seen in years. If I’m good at making crafts and stuff I will give them personalized Christmas cards instead. It’s the thought the counts right?

I have three. Hubby and my two kids. Although they are big kids now, we don’t leave them on their own just to have fun. We bring them and yes we had fun just being together – all four of us. One big happy family, ika nga. As I mentioned in my previous post (the one before this), I’m not sure where our big feet will take us this weekend. Since public places and malls will be too crowded on Sunday, I think a good movie (and ice cream and pizza ) will suffice to set  the Valentine’s date mood of our family.  What do you think?

My entry for Girls Rule

Do we have any? I’m asking hubby a while ago (just before he goes to work) where will he take me  on Valentine’s Day. The usual reply is a nod and a sheepish smile. Do you think may gana ka pang magtanong, hindi na di ba? We used to go out with our kids, with or without any occasion. When they were little, we would bring them to SM Fairview’s Storyland for a nice carousel ride and then have a light snack at Shakey’s before we head home.  We usually buy some stuff for the house or personal gadget.  Those were the little pleasures we enjoyed then (thanks to the bonuses and allowances we used to receive from our company -  heard that company union had file for a strike notice. ).

This year, I’m not sure where our feet will take us. Maybe we are going out or simply enjoy a good movie with some delicious snack on the side. Whatever we have on the occasion itself, we’ll just enjoy it.

This Valentine’s Day is our 13th, I just want my husband to know that I love him and life would be different without him. Happy Valentine’s Day, hon. mwah

Flowers for hubby

This is my late entry for Couple’s Corner

The kids will have their Christmas party today. Both are excited to attend and spend fun time with their classmates. They also anticipate their exchange gifts.

Today is also the beginning of their two-week Christmas vacation. Since they are off from school activities they are free to do whatever they want. They can watch DVD movie all they want. They can even stay up late. The brief vacation is a breather for us so I’ll let them enjoy the time.

My son has already planned the movies and TV program he will watch. My daughter on the other hand, will be busy sketching. She’s now experimenting applying colors to her drawings. I prefer that they are busy with indoor activities than spend time outside. I worry that they especially my son will get into trouble with other kids.

Vacation also spells trouble between my kids. Since they are together 24/7 there is a tendency for each one to be irritated by the presence of one another especially when one is messing with the others stuff. You know what it’s like to be caught in the middle of  crossfire. Kids.

I’ll try to have an additional sleeping ‘beauty’ hours and ample time to accept opps during this period.
