Like most of my other mommy blogger friends and kumares, I’ve virtually met Seiko through Mommy Moments. She is living in Japan with her equally lovely daughters and loving husband.  Next month, I might have the chance to finally meet this generous lady along with other Marces in person. I don’t know how to speak Japanese, but a website says this is how you say Happy Birthday in Japanese the formal way.

Happy Mother’s Day too!

Have you seen what the Marce Club gave me on my birthday? Chocolate cake and baked lasagna from Red Ribbon! What a perfect treat to celebrate my birthday.

The meal arrived just in time for snack. The kids love lasagna so they are excited to get their share. Since it’s my birthday, its a sort of tradition on my family to give something that I cooked or bought to my relatives, so I gave my mother and SIL each a slice of lasagna.  I’m fortunate to have tasted one third of the slice. Otherwise, my son would have taken my entire share. waah!

Without the carbohydrate-laden lasagna I don’t think I would look for the best diet pills for women. I can’t pig out on cake either because kids and hubby are there to remind me to slow down. 

I don’t cook anything special on my birthday. I just prepare fried chicken for lunch as it was requested by my kids. And with hubby’s prodding he bought an ice cream and soda for our dessert. I should have cooked something special like beef calderetta, but hubby said it may take hours to prepare. So I end up marinating five pieces of Chicken thighs with calamansi juice, fish sauce, pepper and food seasoning. The kids thought I ordered it from Max’s. Ok, I fabricate that part. LOL. After a sumptuous lunch, I recall top diet pills that I read somewhere because I felt guilty after consuming more than a cup of rice (or was it two cups). More rice intake means additional fat on the belly. It’s difficult to trim down that part unless I exercise.

I’m looking for materials on ageing because a lady friend has requested for it. She is turning a year older on Friday and she wants to write a blog post about getting old and what to expect when the person is on that stage already. Well, my friend is not really that old to look at except for some obvious signs such as streaks of grey hair and fine lines. Sometimes she admits she looks and feels like it (old age), but she claims she will always be young at heart and mind (denial).

Adding years to her age doesn’t mean she is forgetful although at times I reprimand her for missing an important file. I always tell her to have an online backup of all her files because nobody knows when her laptop will lock up or crashes.

Anyway, since it’s her special day on Friday I requested her to rest or maybe have time for herself. She can’t commit because she said she might be busy with some new job.

She wants me to tell her online friends whom she has not seen or visited for a long time that she is missing them. She became super duper busy when opportunities started coming in. Don’t tell her that I told you but she is a poor time manager.  She can’t balance her time for herself, family and friends. Now many of her new found friends don’t visit her as much. I can’t blame them. She lost touch with them. I just hope they understand her.

This is getting lengthy already. All I want to say is that I hope this lady will have more time for other things except blogging. Get a life girl! And happy birthday in advance! Love you!

I’ve come to know Marce Gene from Mommy Moments where both of us are participants. Gene is based in Thailand with her husband and child Hyzyd. This young mom is one of the first few bloggers who followed my original site when I was a newbie. She is a regular visitor and commenter and I really appreciate her for that. Now that she has her hands full with her teaching job and wifely duties, she still drops me a line or two to say hi.

Gene became my kumare (Marce) through our godchild Sati, the adorable daughter of Marce Pehpot.

She is celebrating her birthday today and I wish her all the good things in life. I wish to know more about you and see you personally in the near future

My daughter requests for an Ipod Nano for her birthday. Since she has been a good daughter and a diligent student, there is possibility that her wish will be granted. So Daddy is starting to look for pre-owned ipods at eBay or tipidpc. We bought our laptop and digital camera from online seller so we are hoping to get similar bargain for ipod this time. My daughter is excited when she learned about it. We told her that it would be our birthday gift and advanced reward to her in case she will be included in the lists of Achievers next month.

Our baby is turning 13 tomorrow. I think I’m going to cry (sniff). Happy birthday, baby.
